The group meets about twice a month to see the movie they’ve selected (those who’ve RSVP “Yes” get to vote), and then get together afterward over dinner to discuss the movie and enjoy each others company. It is a casual, informal easy-going group of folks who like going to the movies. All movie genres are covered in order to suit the interests of all members. Since most theaters update it’s movie listing and show times on Wednesday of each week, we are unable to choose a movie in advance. Whe …

Welcome to “I Love Watching Movies!”, and as the name implies, movies will remain our number one activity. So if you love the movies, then I can promise that you will be kept busy with this group! We will try to go to different movie theaters throughout the Delaware Valley so that everyone does not have to travel too far all of the time. I would also like to add a little meet and greet before each movie and try to have casual discussion afterwards over a few friendly beverages. Some of the non m …

Okay, so it may not be the best title. Forgive me, I'm semi-new to this site. I couldn't find a group in Bucks County I could enjoy. So i decided to start my own! I am hoping to meet others who would like to get together bi-weekly or monthly. If we did it bi-weekly... we could get together during the first week of the month, see a movie. And during the third week, we could all review a book, or discuss titles we have enjoyed. If we do it monthly, we could try to see a movie followed by dr …

This group is intended for those who have some "experience" with movie making. It is not intended for professionals but for those who have the camera (video or DSLR) and want to be involved in the planning, writing, shooting, editing, and music production necessary to end up with both a personal and a group film. This is not a group for those who have no concept of movie making. Meetups will be in very small groups at my home, on location, or at other venues.
Meet other local Movie Fans! Get together once a month to plan movie outings and discuss the hot movies of the month.
Once a month, we gather together in a space in West Philly that can fit up to 60 people to watch a movie and talk about it. We generally focus on recent dvd releases of foreign, independent, and documentary films. After watching the film together, we have a discussion which usually lasts about 50 minutes. It's been great to meet people from so many different backgrounds and see the value that diversity adds to our group and discussions. Javaflix is a free event.
An opportunity for people in the area to meet new people and organize social activities like local dining, house parties, walks (with and without dogs, movies (like the Acme), picnics, local music and, perhaps, field trips (NYC, PHL).
